Learn to Lift
AKA: The Nursing Home Prevention Program.
An eight-week beginner-friendly strength training program combining expert coaching, evidence-based education, and a supportive community to help you feel stronger, healthier, and more confident.
Strength changes more than your muscles.
Most people think strength training is about looking different.
We think it's about living differently.
Being able to carry your groceries.
Playing with your grandchildren.
Travelling confidently.
Getting off the floor without thinking twice.
Preventing injuries before they happen.
Living independently for decades to come.
Strength isn't just about today—it's one of the greatest investments you can make in your future health.
Strength training meets longevity medicine
Something shifts when people start lifting — not just physically. It's the confidence that shows up outside the gym. The sleep that improves. The mood that steadies. The way your body starts to feel like an ally instead of an obstacle.
We've watched it happen across six groups in the past year. Learn to Lift combines progressive small-group strength training with evidence-based community medicine — in a setting that's supportive, not performative.

Why learn to lift?
Learning to lift can feel overwhelming, especially if you've never done it before. Whether you're worried about getting hurt, think you're too old to start, or simply don't know where to begin, Learn to Lift was designed to help you build strength with confidence in a supportive, judgment-free environment.
No gym bros.
No pressure.
No experience required.
Just expert coaching, thoughtful programming, and a community that wants to see you succeed.
Weekly Strength Training
Each week, you'll participate in a progressive, small-group strength training session designed to meet you where you're at and build from there. Every workout is intentional, supportive, and yes—even genuinely fun—as you gain confidence, build strength, and discover what your body is capable of.
Community Medicine Sessions
You’ll join Dr. Erin TeWinkel, ND for 2 extra evenings for an interactive education workshop that explore the science behind healthy aging. Together, you'll dive into topics like protein and nutrition, bone health, blood sugar and metabolism, sleep and recovery, and stress resilience, giving you the knowledge and confidence to support your health well beyond the gym.
Move better. Understand more.
